Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fencing Review you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Fencing Review is a platform that connects fencing students with expert coaches for personalised video analysis. Students upload bout footage, coaches record annotated reviews with voice-over commentary, and students receive detailed feedback on their technique, tactics, and movement.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, or have parental consent.

4. Payments and Refunds

Students pay for reviews at the price set by the coach at the time of the order. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. If a coach does not deliver a review within the agreed timeframe, you may request a full refund. Once a review has been delivered, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Content Ownership

By uploading videos or creating content on Fencing Review, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that content for any purpose related to operating, improving, and promoting the platform. You acknowledge that any content submitted to the platform may be used by Fencing Review in aggregated or anonymised form without restriction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use the platform for any purpose other than fencing coaching
• Circumvent payment mechanisms or solicit transactions outside the platform

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

8. Limitation of Liability

Fencing Review is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email.

10. Disclaimer of Affiliation

Fencing Review is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USA Fencing, the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime (FIE), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the National Intercollegiate Women's Fencing Association (NIWFA), or any national, international, or collegiate fencing governing body or organisation. Any use of the names “USA Fencing,” “FIE,” “NCAA,” “NIWFA,” or related terms is solely for descriptive purposes. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
