Getting Started
Fencing Review connects you with expert collegiate coaches who pinpoint exactly what to work on in your bouts. Upload your footage, and a coach delivers a detailed review highlighting the moments that matter most — with voice-over commentary, annotations, and clear next steps.
Each review includes timestamped video segments covering your technique, tactics, and movement. Your coach records voice-over commentary on each segment, annotates key moments with on-screen drawings, and provides ratings across areas like footwork, bladework, timing, distance, and strategy. You also receive action items with priority levels so you know what to focus on first, along with an AI-generated transcription of all commentary for easy reference.
Upload footage of your bouts, whether from competitions or practice. A clear, stable recording from a side angle works best. There is no strict length requirement, but a single bout or a few key touches gives your coach enough material to provide focused feedback.
Most coaches deliver reviews within a few days of receiving your video. The exact turnaround depends on the coach and their current workload. You will receive both an in-app notification and an email as soon as your review is ready, so you never have to keep checking back.
Coaches & Pricing
Our coaches are experienced fencing instructors, many with collegiate coaching backgrounds. Each coach sets their own pricing and specialises in specific weapons (epee, foil, or sabre). You can browse coach profiles, see their ratings, and choose the one that best fits your needs.
Pricing is set by each coach individually — you can see the price per review on every coach's profile before placing an order. New coaches start at a lower price tier and unlock higher pricing as they gain experience and positive reviews on the platform. This means you can always find a review at a price point that works for you.
Yes. If you have coaching experience, you can sign up as a coach, set up your profile, and start accepting reviews. You set your own rates and receive payments directly through a Stripe Connect wallet built into your coach dashboard. As you complete reviews and build your reputation, you can unlock higher pricing tiers.
Privacy & Security
Yes. Your videos are only visible to you and the coach assigned to your review. Videos are hosted with signed playback tokens so they cannot be accessed by anyone else. We never share, sell, or use your footage for any other purpose.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We support credit and debit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your payment details are never stored on our servers — Stripe handles everything so your financial information stays safe.
